Born Overcomers is a nonprofit organization dedicated to spreading the belief that we were all Born to Overcome.Our mission is to encourage men & women to accept the teachings of Jesus Christ & believe they can overcome life's tests & trials. We are a needs based organization that seeks to meet the needs of individuals and then share the love of Christ with them.Born Overcomers was created in early 2014 by LaKesha L. Williams. She is the author of Born Overcomers and the Born Overcomers Devotional Series which includes five 21-Day Devotionals and is now a featured co-author in Open Your G.I.F.T.S. presented by Kim Coles. LaKesha, an award-winning author and speaker was the 2015 recipient of the Sista's Inspiring Sista's Phenomenal Woman Award, 2016 winner of the Indie Author Legacy Award in the Author on the Rise Category and a 2016 Metro Phenomenal Woman Honoree. LaKesha, a virgin herself, is also an advocate of abstinence, purity & virginity until marriage. She resides in Southern Maryland & enjoys spending time with her family, friends, serving in the community & fellowshipping with her church family at Light of Glory Ministries in White Plains Maryland under the leadership of Anthony Johnson.Born Overcomers is founded on Psalm 139:16:“You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed."This scripture proves the concept of Born Overcomers:You were Born to Overcome!
