Sport City Corvette Club

The Sport City Corvette Club is a non-profit social organization based in Shreveport, Louisiana. Established in 1978, it is dedicated to fostering camaraderie and enjoyment among Corvette owners and enthusiasts of all models and years.

Purpose and Activities

The club's primary purpose is to operate as a social entity, focusing on the shared passion for Corvettes. Members engage in a variety of activities, including day cruises, dining outings, car shows, and other social events throughout the year. The club hosts two annual fundraisers and participates in several parades, contributing to the local community through these events.

Community Involvement

Sport City Corvette Club is actively involved in supporting local and national charities. Organizations they have supported include The Providence House, Caddo Parish School Board Homeless Program, St. Jude, and the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana. Their charitable activities also include an annual fan drive for seniors and a Christmas Angel Tree program.

Structure and History

The club has a board consisting of five officers who are elected every two years by active members. It operates under a constitution and by-laws. Sport City Corvette Club was initially a member of the United Council of Corvette Clubs (UCCC) before joining the International Council of Corvette Clubs (ICCC) in 1984. The club has hosted several conventions for ICCC over the years.

Membership and Events

The club welcomes Corvette enthusiasts of all ages and backgrounds. Members participate in regular meetings and a variety of events, including car shows that attract enthusiasts from across the region. Sport City Corvette Club prides itself on maintaining a friendly atmosphere, fostering lasting friendships among its members.

The club's official colors are black and yellow, and its motto is “We Are One”. This motto reflects the club's strong sense of unity and camaraderie, which are central to its mission.
