The Chicagoland Blue Star Mothers Chapter was chartered in January 2016. We are women who have adult children serving, or who have served, in any branch of the US military. We support each other while promoting patriotism and supporting our troops & vets. Each member having a son or daughter or grandchild in the United States military. Chicagoland Blue Star Mothers provides support for all members of the United States Armed Forces and its veterans. We strive to honor our troops, our veterans, and our fallen heroes in our words and deeds. A few ways we strive to do this: Ø Providing care packages for deployed military Ø Assisting veterans exiting homelessness by collecting essentialsØ Providing support for programs assisting in suicide prevention of veteransØ Supporting each other while our sons and daughters proudly serve our countryØ Participating in local Veterans Day & Memorial Day activities
