Friends of Pono FRIENDS OF PONO Friends of Pono is a New York City nonprofit organization that focuses on children nature and EQUITY. We support foster and advance learnercentered and outdoor environmental education programs in innercity schools. Friends of Pono is recognized in the United States as taxexempt through section 501c3 of the Internal Revenue Code. Friends of Pono solicits donations from interested individuals charitable and educational organizations corporations agencies and other interested institutions.
