Mission Monday Spotlight: American Indian Medical Scholarship Since the 1930s, the NSCDA has supported Native students pursuing careers in nursing, healthcare, and health education through the American Indian Medical Scholarship (AIMS). Last year alone, we were proud to support 14 college students through this scholarship, each committed to improving healthcare in Native communities. This $1,500-per-semester award is available to students of American Indian, Alaskan Native, or Hawaiian Native descent who plan to serve in hospitals or on reservations after graduation.
