Backyard Growers Lets build a strong local food system together. Backyard Growers is a 501C3 nonprofit organization that connects communities with the resources space and knowledge to grow their own food. Through our programs of our community gardeners report their families eat more vegetables as a result of their gardens raised garden beds have been built since 2013 private public schools and districts have implemented our school garden program model Massachusetts students have experienced Backyard Growers Salad Days Fall Harvest Days in their school gardens servings of fresh locallygrown food served in Gloucester Public Schools annually Gloucester is our backyard In this video learn more about the awesome community of local supporters who help us uplift our neighbors to grow their own fresh food every growing season. I dont have a yard to grow anything at my apartment so its been wonderful having fresh vegetables that Ive grown myself at the community garden.

🥬 It's harvest time at Gloucester Preschool. Our littlest veggie gardeners enjoyed fun with Backyard Growers in their revamped school garden. They harvested, washed, and taste-tested fresh lettuce and spinach they planted themselves earlier this spring as part of our award-winning Salad Days program.
