WtERT® Joins ISWA International Solid Waste Association and CAUES to Showcase China’s Waste-to-Energy Revolution In just over a decade, China has built 1,049 WtE plants, processing 254 million tons of waste in 2023 with a total installed capacity of 24,852 MW. This makes China the world’s largest WtE market and a critical ally in the fight against climate change. Now, China is opening its doors to share its experience with the world. In partnership with ISWA and its national member, the China Association of Urban Environmental Sanitation (CAUES), WtERT® Board Members, will join the Conference in Xi’an (July 2–3, 2025) to promote how China's experience can support the world in developing sustainable WtE solutions.
