The program is offered for any youth in the community ages 5-17. Danza Folklorica started as an initiative by two sisters who were passionate about teaching traditional Mexican dances. As their program continues to grow in numbers, they offer two groups - Corazón y Alma (Youth 5-12) and Ballet Folklorico de Mi Tierra (Girls Ages 13-17). On Sunday, June 8th, we kick off summer with the first Concert in the Park of 2025, featuring the Kalamazoo Concert Band. They will take to the Bronson Park stage from 4:00-5:00 pm. Kalamazoo Concert Band was founded in 1961 to provide area musicians with continued symphonic band experiences after high school and college. The group consists of adult players from all walks of life, with professional and musical abilities. They are committed to providing lifelong musicianship to members, educational and cultural experiences to the community, and a program that is open to all ages. Bring chairs or blankets for your comfort! There is not a rain site for Concerts in the Park. If inclement weather is expected, the concert may be canceled by 2 pm on that same day. On-street parking is available all around the perimeter of the park, and additional parking is nearby at the South Street Parking Garage.
