Overview

Characters of Character NFP, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing tools and resources for educators and parents to teach children positive character traits.

Mission

The mission of Characters of Character is to empower children to live each day with good character, with the goal that each child served becomes a role model and makes a positive impact on their community. The organization aims to provide a firm foundation for children to develop strong civic values by introducing nine key character traits: behavior, perseverance, friendship, healthy habits, manners, respect, responsibility, self-esteem, and kindness[1][2][3].

Programs and Activities

The organization uses a unique approach involving art, literacy, stories, discussions, live character costumes, and original character-building lessons to help children internalize these traits. Characters of Character has developed a series of characters, each representing one of the nine traits, to make learning more engaging and accessible. Future Plans

Characters of Character plans to expand its activities, including opening a facility in the Nashville area to offer classes that integrate the nine character traits with art, social skills, fine motor skills, decision-making skills, reading, and writing.
