A non-profit land trust protecting the Mud Creek watershed in Marion, Hamilton and Madison Co, IN. Mud Creek Conservancy is dedicated to the preservation of open space in the Mud Creek watershed, located in Marion, Madison and Hamilton Counties of Indiana. Mud Creek is a unique area in central Indiana, both in ecological diversity and archeological significance. Land preserved in the watershed directly leverages the conservation value afforded by Fort Harrison State Park for a number of rare native plant and animal species. The Conservancy works to purchase remaining open space and conservation easements and engages both youth and adults via ongoing environmental education programs.
