Henry Darger is considered one of the most important artists of the 20th century. However, Darger worked as a custodian his entire life and no one ever saw his work during his lifetime. The mission of Darger HQ is to expose the world to important and innovative works of art from under- represented Nebraska contemporary visual artists, and bring to the communities of Nebraska the artwork of new and emerging artists from around the world.Darger HQ is an artist-focused, censor-free environment that originates presentations of contemporary arts, particularly work that is experimental, under-recognized or challenging in nature. Darger HQ is a 501c3 non-profit that strives to make the state a globally recognized cultural destination in the visual arts.
