The June Curriculum Lessons are collectively titled, “The Genesis of Altars and Sacrifices,” and the five lessons are drawn from the book Genesis. In these lessons, we learn how God demonstrates His justice, mercy, covenant faithfulness, and provision, guiding and blessing those who trust and obey Him, even amidst human failure and testing. As you read and study, share your lesson insights with us @rhboydco and use #rhboydco! We want to hear from you! Visit www.rhboyd.com to view curriculum titles and other resources from R.H. Boyd. All Sunday school curriculum titles are based on the International Lesson Series, Committee on Uniform Series, National Council of Churches. (fb)

We are honored to present this year's R.H. Boyd Service Award to The Tennessee Tribune—a trusted voice in Black media, dedicated to informing, empowering, and amplifying African-American communities across Tennessee and beyond. Visit www.legacyball.org to secure your ticket and to help us celebrate The Tennessee Tribune! In 1991, The Tennessee Tribune, a newspaper highlighting the African-American and minority community locally, regionally and nationally, was founded in Nashville, Tennessee by Mrs. Rosetta Miller-Perry. During the early 1990′s, approximately 200 African-American newspapers were published nationwide. Denied funds from local banks, Miller-Perry invested $70,000 from her personal savings into the Tribune and watched as it became one of the most influential African-American publications in Tennessee. While The Tennessee Tribune is known for its insightful coverage of Nashville and Middle Tennessee news, it also remains committed to covering national news. Under Mrs. Miller-Perry’s leadership, The Tribune has become the most effective African-American weekly in Middle Tennessee. For more than 21 years, the paper has championed the cause of Civil Rights and leadership of African Americans and Mrs. Miller-Perry remains at the helm of the publication today. We are honored to celebrate The Tennessee Tribune, a pioneering force that has championed truth, representation, and community uplift for decades. Join us on June 14 at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center for the 2025 Legacy Ball as we pay tribute to the Tribune’s powerful legacy of storytelling, advocacy, and impact. It will be an evening filled with purpose, pride, and unforgettable moments. (fb)
