Meet Jamilla, our newest Çhariots4Hope family member 💛 She was referred to us by DHHS and is a hardworking single mom of five—one of whom has special needs. After recently experiencing the loss of her home and belongings in a fire, Jamilla has continued showing up with strength and resilience—working two jobs to care for her family. We’re honored to come alongside her with the gift of reliable transportation. This vehicle is more than a car—it’s a step forward, and a symbol of hope in the middle of it all. This was a VERY special blessing for a few other reasons as well! The van that Jamilla received today was donated by our friends at Ronco Construction Company , and was originally the "Pink Chariot" they drove around all of last year! Our incredible friend, Chris, and his students at Metropolitan Community College (Nebraska) repainted the van to make it look like new! WOW! 🥹 This is Carolyn—our newest Chariots4Hope family member!! She was referred by both Open Door Mission and Citylight Church, and she’s about to celebrate 2 years of sobriety—praise Jesus! After walking through some incredibly difficult chapters, Carolyn made the brave decision to start fresh and came to Nebraska to heal and rebuild her life. Since then, she’s embraced her journey with faith and resilience. God has done a powerful work in her heart, and she’s found true community through City Light Church. Carolyn’s dream is to pursue a degree in social work and eventually start a nonprofit to help others in recovery—just as she was helped. This vehicle is more than transportation—it’s a key to her future.
