(802) 874-7213 EIN # 59-3800477 We are a 501(C)3 non profit, committed to rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming at risk equines. We are a 501c3 not for profit organization. Founded and incorporated in 2005. Gerda's Equine Rescue Inc. has mainly dedicated itself to the rescue of slaughter bound horses, these are horses through no fault of their own have ended up in livestock auctions and destined to be shipped out of this country to either Canada or Mexico to be slaughtered for human consumption. Once rescued and in our care we begin the rehabilitation of their minds and bodies. Then they are evaluated for their serviceability and are given the necessary training. The last and most important step is their re-homing, doing all we can to insure them a safe and loving home.
