Drive Safe Hampton Roads (DSHR) is a non-profit regional coalition whose goal is to improve highway safety, and reduce injuries and deaths from vehicle crashes. The mission of Drive Safe Hampton Roads is to improve highway safety, and reduce injuries and deaths from vehicle crashes. Using various initiatives including community events and public outreach, we work with partners in both the private sector and governmental agencies to promote citizen involvement and community awareness as we strive toward zero deaths on our roads. Drive Safe Hampton Roads reaches the far corners of both Peninsula and Southside Virginia, including James City County, Williamsburg, Newport News, Hampton, Isle of Wight, Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Suffolk, Portsmouth, Smithfield, Military bases in the area, York, Poquoson, Gloucester County, and the Eastern Shore with Accomac County and Northampton County.
