Typically our museum is closed on Mondays but we make exceptions for groups! Last week, we had both Indian Knoll Elementary School's Beta Club and a group from Allen Temple AME come out to learn more about our region's history. It was a joy to see members of Allen Temple AME see their own church's history on display in "Sacred Spaces" along with our other engaging exhibits. For our school group, Kady led the Beta Club to Canton City Hall where they met with City Manager Billy Peppers who taught the students about the ins and outs of local governance. Then, Solicitor-General Todd Hayes of the Cherokee County Courthouse gave a tour of the Courtroom and historic jail.
