TO FACILITATE THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION AND SCIENCE AS IT RELATES TO IDENTIFIED VULNERABILITIES ALONG COASTAL ALABAMA ASSOCIATED WITH THE ENVIRONMENT, SOCIETY AND THE ECONOMY AND TO THE END OF SUPPORTING CREATION, DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION OF SOLUTIONS TO PROTECT AND ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF LIFE ALONG THE COAST, PARTICULARLY MOBILE AND BALDWIN COUNTIES IN ALABAMA. THROUGH FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL GRANT FUNDS, BOTH PUBLIC AND PRIVATE, THE BOARD MEMBERS OF CALF WILL SUPPORT REGIONAL PLANNING AND OTHER CHARITABLE OR PUBLIC POLICY DRIVEN EFFORTS TO BUILD REGIONAL CAPACITY FOR LONG-TERM RESILIENCE IN COASTAL ALABAMA.
