Overview

The National Wild Turkey Federation Inc (NWTF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of the wild turkey and the preservation of hunting heritage in North America.

Formation and Mission

Founded in 1973 by Tom Rodgers, the NWTF was established as a response to the dwindling wild turkey populations and declining habitat in the United States[5]. Its mission is focused on restoring and managing wild turkey populations while promoting conservation and outdoor education.
