RHYTHM WORKSHOPS INC

The mission at Rhythm Workshops is to help “at risk" kids using the magic of music. We provide free high energy workshops to anywhere there are groups of kids. Our programs are a gift to all kids who attend and participate. Rhythm Workshops (501C3 organization) was created to have girls & boys experience what it's like to play the drums in a caring and supportive atmosphere. And Rhythm Workshops looks forward to making a difference in the lives of kids who have yet to discover the value of drumming and music. The initiative “I Can Drum" is a workshop held after school at local low income elementary school. An instructor will work with a group of 15 -20 students one day each week as part of the enrichment after school program. Kids will be taught percussion and rhythm as well as create their own drum art project that they get to take home.At the end of the school year, the kids will perform at their school during an assembly. The students will also have opportunities to perform in the spring time at community events. This is important because not only does it teach the kids percussion and performance skills but it exposes their families to cultural and arts events that they likely would not have attended had I Can Drum After School Program.
