AMERICAN HUMANIST ASSOCIATION
We are an official American Humanist Association chapter, an affiliate of American Atheists and a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We’ve been welcoming freethinkers and skeptics since 2007. We hold regular meetings and we support our local community. FreeThought Fort Wayne, Inc. is a cultural organization whose purpose is the advancement of education/science. It provides support/fellowship to local freethinkers; promotes free speech and the exchange of ideas; provides a forum for educational films/lectures; defends the constitutional separation of church/State; opposes government sponsored religion; defends the teaching of scientific theories in public school science class; helps to eliminate prejudice/discrimination; opposes pseudoscience, myths, and misleading information in the media; defends the civil rights secured by law of atheists, agnostics, and others who do not believe in god(s) or supernatural forces; and seeks improvement of society through secular humanism, science, critical thinking and rational philosophical discourse.
