Surf day did not disappoint! It was an incredible time at Ocenaside Harbor Beach with Sailors from Amphibious Squadron One (CPR-1), USS Bougainville LHA 8, and USS John P Murtha - LPD 26 along with Marines from the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit learning to surf with the help of our amazing instructors from Whitlock Surf Experience and dedicated volunteers from Christian Surfers Carlsbad. These active duty service members were quick to pick up skills, with nearly all of them successfully standing up and riding waves before the day was done.
