Project H.O.O.D. (Helping Others Obtain Destiny) is a nonprofit organization helping to end violence & building communities one neighborhood at a time. Project HOOD, a 501 c(3) organization, established in 2012. We gang up on the problem and not each other. Community and Economic Development, Building Leaders and Ending Violence. Our mission is to empower people with the guidance, information and tools necessary to become peacemakers, problem solvers, leaders, and entrepreneurs in their communities. After sleeping on the roof of an abandoned motel for 94 days to bring attention to gun violence on the south side of Chicago, the "Rooftop Pastor" Corey Brooks started Project HOOD with the vision of "ending violence and building communities, one neighborhood at a time." Our programming is designed to equip youth, adults, and families with the resources, skills, tools and experiences that are needed to be successful, healthy and upwardly mobile members of society. We are on the forefront of innovation and transformation in our Chicago community.

Project HOOD Youth Programming Transforming Futures Project Hood Youth Programming serves as a beacon of transformation breaking the chains of poverty and violence by empowering youth with the education mentorship and skills necessary to rise above systemic barriers and lead their communities. Building Tomorrows Leaders Our initiative is more than supportits an engine of empowerment. We are building tomorrows leaders by equipping young individuals with the academic professional and personal tools needed to not only survive but thrive. Revitalizing Communities Project Hood Youth Programming is more than just a youth initiativeits an investment in the future of our neighborhoods creating stronger more vibrant communities by nurturing the potential in every young person.
