The Center for Mind-Body Medicine
We help communities around the world develop the tools they need to heal population-wide trauma. CMBM's mission is to help communities around the world develop the tools they need to heal population-wide trauma and build resilience. We collaborate with community leaders to co-create trauma-relief and resilience-building programs that are responsive to the community’s experiences, needs, goals, and culture. Our programs provide a thorough understanding of the science of mind-body medicine and self-care, and a supportive small group experience in which trainees practice evidence-based techniques that restore physiological and psychological balance, enhance self-awareness and compassion, and enable the skillful use of this approach with others. At the same time, we help bring together partners to build each community’s capacity to sustain their healing and create a culture of well-being.

7 years ago, the devastating Carr Fire tore through Northern California, destroying 290,000 acres of land. It was followed by the Delta Fire and then the Camp Fire, each compounding the physical and emotional toll. Today, we pause to remember the lives lost, the homes destroyed, and the habitats impacted.
