Cat Bur·glar: /ˈkat ˌbərɡlər/ noun,- Tim’s cat, MELVIN! If you look up the words “cat burglar” in the dictionary, rest assured you would find a photo of Melvin! Tim is GNAR'S database volunteer and he has taken in a small herd of stray cats over the years, for whom he has built a shed-palace of their very own, with a cat-proofed fenced yard. But that has never stopped Melvin from being able to get around the neighborhood. After reading this and looking at all the evidence, without a doubt you will agree!! 😹 Melvin has been stealing from his owner's neighbors for over two years now. Whatever Melvin brings home, Tim posts them on the neighborhood social media page, so the neighbors can come collect their missing items from his front porch. 😺 Melvin’s collection territory ranges about 300-600 feet from his house. Sometimes he carries his new “found” treasures over a minimum of three fences to get back home with it. Some of these include large items like men’s sneakers. Get this! He will bring one sneaker one night, then goes back and gets the matching pair the following night! Amazingly smart and shameless wrapped in four paws and whiskers! 😽 He has already brought 49 items to the house in 2025 so far ….🙀 Tim makes collages of Melvin's hauls every few months. They say pictures speak a thousand words. View all the photos and come to your own verdict. According to Google, when a cat brings a "gift” to its owner, it's usually a sign of affection!
