Unleashed works daily with high kill shelters in the Kansas City area to pull unwanted pets to safety. We rely on fosters, adopters and donations to survive. Unleashed is a non-profit 501(c)3 dog and cat rescue and no-kill animal shelter in Mission, Kansas. Unleashed Pet Rescue and Adoption is a non-profit pet adoption center. Our purpose is to save animals off death row from animal control facilities and to place them in their loving forever homes. In order for Unleashed to be successful, we follow these rules: Provide temporary shelter for homeless animals; Educate the public on the importance of responsible pet ownership as well as spay and neuter. We also educate on breed bans; and Develop ongoing relationships with other shelters, rescues and businesses like Unleashed to create a strong network of people striving to improve the lives of homeless animals.
