The Center for Humans and Nature, founded in 2003, is dedicated to fostering the mutual well-being of human communities and the natural world. The Center explores, articulates, and promotes our long-term social and moral responsibilities for the ongoing viability of the earth's living communities. The Center's work involves interdisciplinary research, education and outreach with respect to the historical dynamics and ongoing interactions of humans and nature.
