The purpose of Meals For Mutts, Inc (MFM) is to provide healthy, nutritious pet food to companion animals whose owners are, due to current financial hardships, struggling to feed them. Families and individuals seeking assistance to feed their companion animals will be channeled and screened through local animal rescue organizations in Upstate, NY that Meals For Mutts, Inc. will partner with. By providing food for their pets during times of financial crisis for families and/or individuals MFM aims to reduce the number of animals surrendered to shelters.Meals For Mutts, Inc. is an all-volunteer run organization. All activities will be carried out by our volunteers. All fund-raising activities will be held in various locations in and around Western NY. Food donated to, and procured by Meals For Mutts, Inc. will be stored at a central storage and distribution location and will be accounted for and inventoried by MFM volunteers. Food distribution times will be scheduled and prearranged with rescues that are referring food recipients. Meals For Mutts, Inc. reserves the right to deny assistance to applicants if they do not meet eligibility requirements.
