POSITIVE IMPACT FOR KIDS INC
Positive Impact for Kids is a 501(c)(3) non-profit striving to improve the hospital experience for children and teenagers receiving inpatient medical care in the United States. Leanne Joyce, the 17-year-old Founder & President raises funds to help hospital staff better meet the emotional and physical needs of their pediatric patients. We provide hospitals with appropriate distraction and tools for education and socialization. Common hospital requests include: iPad minis, gaming systems, laptops and gift cards. Our goal is to decrease the hospitalized children's pain and anxiety while increasing their self-esteem. Positive Impact for Kids is funded through private contributions, fundraisers and grants. We operate on a minimal annual budget with no salaried staff. This non-profit has oversight by a non-paid and voluntary board of directors.
