Union United Methodist Church
Union United Methodist Church on the corner of Fremont Street and Railroad Ave. in St. Michaels was established in 1852 and is one of the largest historically United Methodist African American churches in Talbot County. The mission of Union United Methodist Church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world by Proclaiming the Good News of God's Grace and Mercy. To accomplish this, Union SHINES (Smiles, Helps, Impacts Neighborhoods Everywhere through its Service). Through Union's Outreach and Emergency Fund, the church provides assistance for rent, utilities, food and other personal necessities, which occasionally has included financial assistance for funerals an perpetual care.
