The Fuel Fund of Maryland aims to be a lifeline for our vulnerable Maryland neighbors struggling with a home utility hardship. We assist by providing navigation through an array of financial and community resources that empower, engage, and safely connect a household in times of crisis.

Fuel Fund of Maryland | Hope and Compassion Powered by You Since 1981 PROVIDED A FINANCIAL GRANT TO MORE THAN 4289 BGE CUSTOMERS IN FY 24 Our Mission We provide emergency financial grants to BGE residential customers who have had their power disconnectedORthose who have received an impending turnoff notice. Please note that we are unable to assist with high utility balances. Our Role We assess your eligibility for a Fuel Fund financial grant as detailed on our APPLY page. Please be aware that we are an independent nonprofit organization with limited funds and our eligibility criteria are distinct from state utility assistance programs like the Office of Home Energy Programs OHEP.
