Georgetown Backpack Buddies
Provide weekend food bags to Georgetown Independent School District food insecure students who are eligible for the federal free or reduced price school lunch program and who apply for the Backpack Buddies program. Hopefully this results in students coming to school on Monday mornings nourished and ready to learn.

Georgetown Backpack Buddies Helping meet the needs of hungry children throughout the community Georgetown Backpack Buddies provides much needed food to food insecure children in the Georgetown school system for the weekend and summer months. These students are eligible for the federal free or reduced price breakfast and lunch program on school days. Georgetown Backpack Buddies provides a weekend food pack with the goal that the students will come to school on Monday mornings nourished and ready to learn. Who We Are Backpack Buddies helps relieve hunger in children.
