PS 118 Parent Teacher Association

The PS 118 Maurice Sendak Community School PTA has been working closely with Principal Elizabeth Garraway as she develops and implements her vision for the school, which opened its doors this fall of 2013 to two pre-K and two kindergarten classes. In 2014-2015 the school expanded to include first graders.We are extremely excited about the opportunities that PS 118 offers our kids: a large, well-equipped, and recently renovated facility, an inspiring leader from PS 321 who is receiving formal mentorship and training from one of the best principals in the city, and a close-knit school community that already has an active and dedicated group of families.Top of our agenda are issues such as fundraising, enrichment curriculum, and building a new playground and garden.PS 118 PTA was officially established in the fall of 2013 and has been busy building relationships with local businesses, politicians and others who can help us work towards our goal of a great school, supported by a great school community.
