WVU Hospitals exists to provide a quality healthcare system, including tertiary services, to the citizens off WV and the surrounding region. Equally important, WVUH is committed by law and philosophy to be the primary clinical site ffor the education and research programs off the WVU Health Sciences Center. WVUH operates an inpatient, outpatient, and skilled nursing facility as well as a 24 hr per day 7 day per week emergency room.
