THE CARNEGIE CENTER FOR ART & HISTORY, INC. IS A 501(C)(3) NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATION FORMED TO SUPPORT THE OPERATION AND ACTIVITIES OF THE CARNEGIE CENTER. THE MUSEUM WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1971 TO COLLECT, PRESEVE, AND INTERPRET FLOYD COUNTY'S HISTORY, PROMOTE AN APPRECIATION OF THE VISUAL ARTS, AND PRESERVE THE HISTORIC CARNEGIE LIBRARY IN WHICH THE MUSEUM IS HOUSED.
