𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗟𝗢𝗩𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗗𝗔𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗚 Memorial Day, I often think of the mother I once sat beside at a gold star family ceremony. She didn’t speak much that day, but when she did, she told me, “You never really stop hearing their voice. It just becomes part of your silence.” This is what Memorial Day feels like for so many of us. It’s not just a holiday—it’s a heartbeat, an ache, a promise to remember. Today, we honor all who wore the uniform—Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, Space Force—whose lives were cut short in service to our country. We remember not just what they did, but who they were—their laughter, their leadership, their love. We remember the empty chair, the fading photo, the echo of their courage.
