Our dear friend, Jim Hill, peacefully passed Sunday with his family by his side. As many of you know, Jim was a longtime Boys & Girls Homes of NC Board member serving from 2003-2014, when he moved to the Emeritus Board. He served on the Organizational Advance Committee, Strategic Long Range Planning Committee, Finance Committee, and the Executive Committee. He served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees 2008-2010. Jim is a good friend of BGHNC, also serving as legal counsel for the organization. Jim graduated from Whiteville High School, Wake Forest University, and the University of South Carolina. He served in the United States Army Reserves and remained a lifelong Columbus County resident. Jim also served on many other local Boards and is a beloved member of the community. Our prayers go out to Jim's family, particularly his wife of 56 years, Dorothy "Dottie" Kay Haddock Hill, his daughter Kalee Hill and his son, our own Board member, Jess Hill.
