IZZYS LOVE EQUINE RESCUE
Our organization operates a rescue, shelter, and adoption facility for neglected horses, ponies, donkeys and mules. We also rescue equines that are destined for slaughter in Canada and Mexico. Rescued equines are sheltered at the organization’s facility in Westminster, Maryland. Once at the shelter facility, the equines are evaluated to determine whether they are adoptable, and those adoptable equines are retrained and offered for adoption pursuant to an adoption contract that requires the adopter to return the animal to the rescue if the adopter can no longer care for the animal. Those equines which are deemed not to be adoptable because of age, health, or temperament are sheltered at the facility for the balance of their lives.
