Camp Discovery's mission is to engage and inspire through discovery in nature. Our vision is to cultivate the power of discovery as a process leading to the health and well-being of people, the community, and the planet. We accomplish this by providing hands-on activities in nature that promote academic achievement, foster environmental literacy and act as a powerful stimulus for lifelong learning and stewardship. Camp Discovery is a national model site for NASA GLOBE Citizen Science. We also provide educational programs that are aligned with national science standards. We include STEM challenges and literature in each student program. We provide respite and recreation opportunities, centered around nature, which include team building and reinforcing life skills.
