AAP-Food Samaritans provides nutritional support to improve the quality of the lives of low-income people living with HIV/AIDS and other chronic illnesses. AAP – Food Samaritans provides nutritional support to improve the quality of the life of low-income people living with HIV/AIDS and other chronic illnesses throughout the Coachella Valley. It seeks to ensure that all AAP – Food Samaritans clients can continue to live their lives with dignity and self-respect. Founded in 1991, AAP – Food Samaritans was originally started as the AIDS Assistance Program with the goal of providing food to people who were low-income and living with HIV/AIDS. In 2015, the organization expanded its services to include people suffering from cancer, MS, heart or liver disease, and other serious chronic illnesses.
