The Global Investigative Journalism Network (GIJN) serves as the international hub for investigative reporters, linking together the world’s most enterprising, most determined journalists. With 251 member organizations in 95 countries, GIJN functions as the network of networks for journalists working for accountability and transparency. GIJN’s core mission is to spread, strengthen, and support in-depth, watchdog journalism, particularly in repressive regimes and marginalized communities. GIJN holds conferences, conducts trainings, provides resources, and encourages the creation of similar nonprofit groups.
