We have a story to tell you! In 2018, cremated remains were accidentally donated to one of our Volunteers of America Thrift stores by a funeral home. When we contacted the funeral home, we found out the remains were of a woman named Dolores, and they were unclaimed. So our own Lawrence Hendrix, who has been with us for 20 years, took it upon himself to claim them. He found a beautiful box to keep Dolores' remains safe, and she has stayed with us for seven years. Recently, we connected with @lindaznachko, founder of He Knows Your Name in Indianapolis, Indiana. Linda offered to give Dolores the ceremony and burial she deserves. Dolores will be honored on Monday, June 2nd at 11:00 a.m. at Floral Park Cemetery, 425 N Holt Rd, Indianapolis, IN.
