SISKIYOU COMMUNITY FOOD BANK
The Mission of the Siskiyou Community Food Bank (SCFB), a non-profit, 501(c)(3)charitable organization is to provide a centralized location for the collection of nutritious food and food products and the distribution of those foods to residents of Siskiyou County that have a financial need (low-income). Our mission includes, "to enhance community efforts in the awareness and elimination of hunger in Siskiyou County" by serving as the primary food resource network of several Siskiyou County non-profit agencies that serve the elderly, chronically ill, disabled, homeless, unemployed, veterans, working poor and victims of a disaster. SCFB, in its mission, supports nutritional education, increasing consumption of fresh, local fruits and vegetables following USDA Food Guideline.
