One Last Race

One Last Race, a volunteer-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, raises and administers funding to protect Thoroughbred horses at the end of their racing career and during their non-racing careers. Through our fundraising efforts, which include community events and social media outreach, our nonprofit is able to disperse grants to qualified Thoroughbred rescue organizations, rescue organizations that accept the Thoroughbred breed of horse and sanctuary organizations. Our funding not only helps rescue Thoroughbred horses from neglect and/or abuse, but also helps fund their rescue from slaughter auctions. We also use our funding to provide financial assistance to rescue organizations that care for these horses while they are being assessed, rehabilitated and/or retrained for an alternative career or placement into approved adoptive homes. It is our belief that providing funding to rescues and retirement organizations is critical to ensure that Thoroughbred horses are protected from at-risk situations.
