American Maltese Association Rescue HOME ADOPT FOSTER VOLUNTEER SURRENDER RESOURCES SHOP CONTACT More American Maltese Association Rescue AMAR became a 501c3 national nonprofit organization in 2012. Were 100 volunteer and provide adoption services for Maltese surrendered by their owners found homeless or who are pulled from shelters. Approved foster homes are utilized to care for these Maltese and Maltese mixes some of whom were abused sickly and homeless until such time as an adoptive family is approved. AMAR pays all of the medical bills for every dog we rescue including but not limited to spay neuter diagnostics and dentals.
