Delores Barr Weaver Policy Center is working to improve the lives of girls by improving the ways in which girls are treated. Policy Center advances the rights of girls and women, especially those in the justice system. The Delores Barr Weaver Policy Center prevents the initial or deeper involvement of girls in the justice system. We reform the harmful policies and practices that contribute to the unfair, inequitable treatment of girls. Founded in 2013, the Policy Center to date has served more than 4,000 girls, trained more than 3,000 girl-serving professionals, released 27 independent reports, and advocated for the successful passage of 5 Florida laws that improve the safety, fair treatment, and well-being of girls and women.
