Did you know... Bees play a vital role in our nation's agriculture, pollinating approximately 75% of the fruits, nuts, and vegetables grown here? Honeybees alone contribute an estimated $15 billion annually to the value of agricultural products, according to the USDA. They are also our state insect! 🐝 We dedicate space at the Fair not only for education on honey bees but also for the incredibly beneficial (and yummy) honey products that the @nebraskabeekeepers sell each year. Fresh honey, honey sticks, honeycombs, honey ice cream.... it's all found in the 4-H and FFA Building! If you haven't tried honey ice cream, this is the year.
