Since 1987, Young Dance has encouraged youth in our community to build body and spirit through the creative art of dance. Young Dance is a Twin Cities nonprofit whose mission is to transform lives through movement. The mission of Young Dance is to transform lives through movement. Since 1987, Young Dance has been providing a safe space for young people to grow as individuals and in community through dance. Young Dance serves almost 2000 youth annually through classes, a performing company, and community partnerships. Our work is housed under three primary programs: the School, the Performing Company, and Community Partnerships. All programs are guided by our All Abilities Dancing Initiative, integrating individuals with and without disabilities as equal participants in the exploration, creation, and performance of dance.
