Historic Elizabeth Incorporated
Founded in 2004 for the organization, verification, and dissemination of history related to the area of historic Elizabeth, geographically conceived as the historically important triangle of land between the Monongahela and Youghiogheny Rivers, together with certain areas on the opposing Mon-Yough shores, Historic Elizabeth is a Pennsylvania corporation with IRS 501(c)(3) status. Because history is forgotten in communities that die, Historic Elizabeth also supports projects in community preservation, revitalization, and education, especially those designed to improve the appreciation of Elizabeth’s historic importance or to maintain the vitality of the Mon-Yough geographic area.
