Motivating and Orchestrating Respectful Interpersonal Achievements and Harmony MORIAH, a nonprofit, empowers children with special needs through free, inclusive social opportunities. Welcoming children of all abilities, including those with Autism, MORIAH fosters empathy and friendship. To combat social exclusion due to communication deficits, MORIAH pairs children with special needs (ages 5-18) with neurotypical peer mentors (ages 9-18) to promote empathy, acceptance and social skills. Through engaging events, participants develop communication skills, while peer mentors learn about inclusion and acquire helpful tools to better understand and engage with neurodiverse youth. These invaluable resources and services are made possible by the generosity of individuals and community partners, all dedicated to empowering children to reach their full potential.
