Recently, Junior Girl Scout Troop #40023 visited Mount Nittany Medical Center to learn about medical imaging, and in return, earned their badge for Careers in STEM. Thanks to the creativity and dedication of Jennifer DiPlacido, RDMS, RVT, and our incredible imaging team, the troop got an inside look at ultrasound, x-ray, and CT. The troop was able to scan seashells, watch their own heartbeats and were taught the differences between ultrasounds and x-rays and why a doctor might order both. The girls even received a whole hospital tour, which of course included a trip to the Café to visit Assistant Chef, Carl!
